The Great Reunification: India. Pakistan. Bangladesh.
Yes, you have read that right! What could be more beautiful than the unification of billion souls irrespective of their cast, creed and religion. Imagine, many toddlers from different religions are playing football together without any fear, hatred and wrong feeling. That will be the most significant day of mankind.
“Hope is the only thing that we are surviving with. Faith is the only thing that we are dealing with.”- The Author
A Dream: Reunification is one of the dreams, I am having.
Take Away: After reading this story, you will have an understanding of that aforementioned reunification. What? Why? How?
History: This concept is very old. It goes back to those days of British India. The advocates of this reunification are: Kanaiyalal Maneklal Munshi, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, Abdul Ghaffar Khan, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, Sardar Vallabhbhai Jhaverbhai Patel, Rao Bahadur Vappala Pangunni Menon, Markandey Katju and many more. That time, it was used to be called “Akhand Bharat”. That means “Undivided India”. Similar concept also existed in Pakistan, which used to be called: Ghazwa-e-Hind.
For some people “Akhand Bharat” means reunification of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. For some, geographically, it also includes Afghanistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, China, Tibet, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia and Indonesia. For, some, it also includes Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka.
Type of thoughts behind Reunification: There are two types of thought behind this idea.
- One which states that one and only one particular religion is all. Advocates: Vinayak Damodar Savarkar (Hindu), Choudhry Rahmat Ali (Muslim).
- Acceptance of different religions. Advocates: Sardar Vallabhbhai Jhaverbhai Patel (Hindu), Abdul Ghaffar Khan (Muslim).
With respect to my view-point 2 is good. Whereas, 1 spreads dictatorship. The great example of 1 is Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany. One horrifying result of 1 is The Holocaust. One witness of 1 is Anne Frank.
The Clarification: One religion is not all.
For example: Hinduism and Hindutva are very different from each other. Hinduism means that along with Hindu, different religions are also accepted. Hindutva means that Hindu is the only religion which is superior. Advocates of Hinduism: Bhagat Singh. Bhagat Singh believed in Internationalism. Advocates of Hindutva: Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.
The thing which should be in mind is that not every Pakistani is bad, not every Indian is bad, not every Bangladeshi is bad.
Example: The great example is the Reunification of East Germany and West Germany in 1990.
Establishment: For Reunification, one common union should be established. Like The European Union, The Asian Union can be formed.
Why: To understand the reason, one should list down some i. pros and ii. cons.
i. Pros:
- One unified union: The Asian Union.
- No dictatorship.
- No coup.
- No war.
- Reduction of terrorism.
- Reduction in the investment of Military Forces, Weapons etc. Investment in the Education policies. Basic necessities like food, education, shelter are provided with minimal cost to some extent.
- Reduction to the number of deaths at the border.
- Economic growth. GDP will rise.
- Trading will be easy. No tariffs or comparatively less.
- Travelling will be easy.
- Growth in the business.
- Every country will share the knowledge as per their best expertise. All will shine.
- No legal or illegal immigrant issue will be there.
ii. Cons:
- Huge population. Tough to establish one union.
- Too many opinions.
- Time consuming.
How: Now, the whole thing comes down to a question. That is how. The answer is simple but fairly complicated. To reduce the cons and to form The Asian Union, Model of The European Union Can be used . It is tough to explain in several pages or in one diagram. So, I am attaching a file which describes The European Union.
“Peace can not be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding. You can not subjugate a nation forcibly unless you wipe out every man, woman and child. Unless you wish to use such drastic measures, you must find a way of settling your disputes without resort to arms.”-Albert Einstein
In this article, I have tried to explain so many things in a short and informative way. This is written in such a way that if one tries to know more in great detail about those topics, then chain of google search by using those aforementioned words will be less time consuming. Otherwise, it is extremely time consuming and complicated to know the topics separately and find the interconnections among them.
